Q: What types of photography and videography services do you offer?
A: We offer a wide range of services to meet your needs, including wedding photography, studio and location portraits, event photography, concert coverage, and film photography. We aim to tell your story through stunning visuals that capture the essence of each moment.
Q: Do you offer both digital and film photography options?
A: Yes! We love working with both digital and film photography, each offering unique qualities. Whether you’re drawn to the crisp clarity of digital or the timeless warmth of film, we’ll craft images that perfectly suit your vision.
Q: What equipment do you use for your photography sessions?
A: We utilize a range of professional equipment to suit the needs of each project. For digital photography, we use high-resolution medium format cameras. For film photography, we employ Leica and Hasselblad cameras, appreciating the unique qualities that 135mm to 120mm films bring to each frame.
Q: Where are you located, and do you travel for shoots?
A: We are based in Southern California. While our primary operations are local, we are open to discussing travel for specific projects or events. Please contact us to discuss the details of your location and needs.
Q: Can you tell me more about your filmmaking services?
A: Beyond photography, we are deeply engaged in filmmaking, exploring themes of humanity, spirituality, and the voices of marginalized communities. Our media work is an extension of our artistic narrative, where we tackle social issues, analyze classic films, and participate in cultural discussions.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: Life happens, and we completely understand. If you need to cancel, just give us at least 7 days’ notice, and we’ll refund your deposit in full. For cancellations within 7 days, your deposit will be non-refundable, but we’re happy to work with you to reschedule your session for a later date—just let us know.
Q: Can I reschedule my session?
A: Yes! If you notify us at least 72 hours in advance, you can reschedule without any additional fees, and your deposit will be applied to the new session. Rescheduling requests made less than 72 hours before the session may incur a fee. We’ll do our best to accommodate your needs.
Q: Do you require a deposit to book a session?
A: Yes, we require a deposit to secure your booking. The deposit amount depends on the session type and is deducted from the total session cost. While deposits are non-refundable, they can be applied to a rescheduled session if needed.
Q: What payment options are available?
We accept payments through PayPal, including flexible installment plans via Affirm, Klarna, and AfterPay, allowing you to split the cost over several months. However, please note that installment plans are only available when paying the full session cost upfront. If you’re paying a deposit, installment plans cannot be used.
Q: What happens if the weather is bad for an outdoor session?
A: For outdoor sessions, we closely monitor the weather leading up to the shoot. If conditions are unsuitable, we’ll work with you to reschedule at no additional cost or explore alternative indoor locations to ensure a successful session.
Q: What if I’m late to my session?
A: We understand that delays happen! If you’re running late, just give us a quick heads-up. While sessions will still end at the originally scheduled time to keep things on track, we’ll do our best to accommodate any extra time if available (additional charges may apply). Let’s work together to make the most of your session!
Q: What happens if Bearland Studio has to cancel my session?
A: In the rare event that we need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you immediately. You’ll have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of your deposit or any payments made.
Q: What do I need to prepare before my shoot?
A: All you need to bring is yourself and your beautiful energy! Our goal is to capture your authentic essence, so just relax and have fun. If you’re thinking about makeup, outfits, props, or any creative themes, let us know in advance—we’d love to help you plan. We can even explore options for makeup artists or costumes for an additional fee. Together, we’ll create something truly unique!
